Thomas Horace Hardison, 55, of Roanoke Rapids, died Wednesday, December 2, 2009.

Horace was born in Martin County, the son of the late A. J. Hardison and Jodan Camp Hardison.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, William Lee "Billy" Hardison.

Horace is survived by his wife, Linda Ferguson Hardison; one son, Thomas Andrew "Andy" Hardison and his fiancé, Elizabeth Shafer, based at Shape-Chievres Army Base in Belgium; his sister, Sandra Murphy and her husband, Randy, of Gainsville, GA, and his aunt, Nell Cathey, of Austell, GA.

Askew Funeral & Cremation Services is handling the arrangements, where the family will receive friends on Sunday, December 6, from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 7, at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Minister Dale Morris officiating. Interment will follow at Crestview Memorial Cemetery.
